The PNM Foundation has awarded a 3-year grant of $15,000 per year to fund the UNM-PNM Statewide Mathematics Contest through 2010. The contest is open to all students in grades 7 - 12 as well as students in lower grades who are taking a high school level math class. 
The goal of the contest is to promote mathematics education in New Mexico by rewarding students, teachers, and their schools for mathematics excellence. Approximately 1500 New Mexico students benefit from this program annually.
