Generalizations of Balancing Numbers
A positive integer n is called a balancing number if
1 + 2 + ... + (n +1) = (n + 1) + (n + 2) + ... + (n + r)
for some positive integer r. We study some generalizations of balancing numbers
which are called (a,b)-type balancing numbers, cobalancing numbers, multiplying
balancing numbers or (k,l)-power numerical center. We give effective finiteness theorems
for the polynomial values of (a,b)-balancing numbers. Specially, we investigate
the power values of (a,b)-type balancing numbers. We mention new results concerning
generalizations of balancing numbers.
