"Complex Application of CA / ICS in High-Tech Engineering Education" * L. Drska, R. Liska, M. Sinor Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering Czech Technical University in Prague This contribution discusses the following topics related to the application of Computer Algebra (CA) and Integrated Computing Systems (ICS) in higher education : (1) CA / ICS as a key tool in high-tech research and education of exact sciences and modern engineering. (2) The use of CA / ICS as a part of a complex application of information technology in education. (3) Specific requirements on the CA / ICS packages to be used in physics and engineering curricula. (4) Particular application of CA / ICS at the FNSPE CTU, information on selected courses in information sciences and introductory / advanced physics. (5) Plans for future application of CA / ICS in education at the FNSPE CTU, their role in the development of the virtual department of physical sciences and information pedagogy.
