Homological Aspects of Module Theory
Fall 2009 AMS Southeastern Sectional Meeting
Friday, October 30- Sunday, November 1, 2009
Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton Florida

Session Overview:
Commutative algebra is a vibrant field of mathematical research. It has benefited
greatly from the introduction of homological methods, to the point where these
methods have become indispensable tools for many mathematicians studying
commutative rings. This session will bring together a number of researchers in
this field for talks on a number of its facets. Subjects of interest include,
but are not limited to, the following:

Auslander and Bass classes
Bass and Poincare series
Derived categories
Differential graded algebra techniques
Homological dimensions
Local cohomology
Resolutions and syzygies
