Functional Generic Algorithms for Symbolic Approximations

Abstract
Function space methods provide constructive tools for the computation of
symbolic approximations. When implemented in the functional programming style,
they lead to generic algorithms, the code of which can be made independent
from the detailed characteristics of the equations.
