ACA'98
1998 IMACS Conference on Applications of Computer Algebra
How much would it cost?
Note that all attendees, including organizers and speakers, will be
responsible for all of their expenses including registration, travel,
meals, and lodging. However, there is some modest
support
available.
Here we provide estimates of costs for participating in the conference:
-
conference fee (including 3 lunches, a party, e-mail access) is available
on the
registration form
-
hotel Krystal
prices including breakfast are $25 for a single room, $34 for
a double room occupied by two attendees and $45 for a double room occupied
by an attendee and an accompanying person (for attendees we have a reasonable
discount as this is an university hotel and the conference is organized
by Czech Technical University), for other hotels check our
suggestion.
-
as concerns other meals not included in the previous, you can have a nice
dinner in Prague for $5-$10
-
local transportation: basic fare for public transportation is $0.40, for
this you can go one way from/to airport, hotel, railway station, downtown;
taxi for the same trip would cost $10-$20;
you might also have a local transportation pass, 24 hours for $2,
3 days for $5.30 or 7 days for $7.40
-
you should estimate the cost of your ticket to Prague by yourself;
you should arrive at Prague airport or one of railway stations:
Praha Hlavni Nadrazi (Prague Main Station) or Praha Nadrazi Holesovice;
detailed description
how to reach the conference hotel will be provided later
So it seems that the conference will be quite cheap.
We hope to have a lot of attendees,
Prague
is a nice city.
