Supported design stage

Design stages are roughly classified into three stages: conceptual design, embodiment design and detail design. Conceptual design determines the conceptual structure of a product. In embodiment design, for each conceptual design plan, basic variables necessary to describe product's functions are defined and concrete values are assigned to them. In detail design, all the variable values necessary for manufacturing and assembly are determined.

The algebraic under constraint solver supports embodiment design of the three design stages. It is used to evaluate constraint sets defined at the conceptual design stage.
