Abstract:
There are basically two major approaches to
scientific computation, namely a symbolic approach and a
numerical approach. Both have their advantages and disadvantages,
and the two approaches have led to rather disjoint scientific
communities. In this session we will bring together researchers
from both communities and try to bridge the gap.
