Conference Location ACA'01/NMMATYC (pronounced new-matic) will be held on the main campus of the Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute (TVI). The TVI campus is located to the southeast of the intersection of Coal Avenue (one way street heading east) and University Boulevard (two way street running north/south). The tallest building on the main TVI campus is the Max Salazar Hall located to the east of the stoplight on University labeled Basehart/TVI. This stoplight is between stoplights at Coal (to the north) and Avenida Cesar Chavez (to the south). At the latter can be seen various sports facilities (a baseball and a football stadium, and a basketball arena labeled "The Pit"). Continuing south on University, the next stoplight is Gibson Boulevard where the Hawthorne and Radisson Hotels are located. (Continuing north on University from Coal is a stoplight one block further at Lead Avenue. The next stoplight north will be at Central Avenue [Route 66 of fame]. To the northeast of the University/ Central intersection is the campus of the University of New Mexico. Many restaurants can be found in this area, especially if you walk along Central.) Registration will be held in the cafeteria which is adjacent to the Student Services Building located directly south of Max Salazar Hall. Conference rooms will be located in Max Salazar Hall. There will be signs to direct people. TVI will be in session on Thursday and although parking is free, it can be hard to come by. Some permits for reserved parking Thursday will be available at the early registration at the Radisson. TVI is not in session Friday--Sunday, so there will be no problem parking there on those days. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Program The complete conference program is posted on the ACA'01 web site.
