SYLLABUS MATH 521

  • Required text: Algebra, by Hungerford.
  • Grading policy. There will be 1 midterm exam and a final (comprehensive) exam. The exams will be given in class. They will consist in solving a set of exercises very similar to the ones contained in the homework or solved in class. Homework will be assigned every Friday and will be collected the next Friday. Your final grade will be computed as follows: the final represents 1/3, the midterm exam represents 1/3, and the homework represents 1/3 of the grade in this class respectively.
