Course
Meetings: The course lectures will be held in SMLC 352 on MWF at 1-1:50 pm.
Assessment: Students are expected to take notes daily in class. To encourage careful notetaking, students will submit a 1-2 page summary of their course notes for the previous week at the beginning of class each Monday (Wednesday if Monday is a holiday). Each summary will be graded out of 10 points and I will drop the lowest 2 summaries to get a score out of 120. Exercises will be suggested in class, students should attempt some of these problems throughout the course of the semester. Each exercise will be graded out of 5 points. Students can replace class note summaries with excercises if they so choose. Grades will be assigned as follows:
A+: 120 and above
A: 108-119
A-: 96-107
B+: 84-95
B: 72-83
B-: 60-71
C+: 48-59
C: 36-47
F: Below 36
