In Statistics computing , I teach R programming and some statistical numerical methods. Students will learn the core of ideas of programming--data structures, functions, iteration, input and output, debugging, logical design, and abstraction--through writing code to assist in statistical analyses. Students will also learn some classical numerical methods: Bootstrap, optimization, and Monte Carlo methods.
