To work with me, you need "Stat 472/572 Sampling: Design and Analysis" course,
a background in real analysis (Math 510-511, at least Math 510),
Measure Theory (Math 563, not required, but highly recommended), and Stat 586 "Nonparametric Curve Estimation".
The course on Stat 472/572 Sampling: Design and Analysis" will provide a foundation for survey
research, and course Stat 586 "Nonparametric Curve Estimation" will provide nonparametric knowledge
needed for research in survey area. Real analysis and Measure theory provide you a foundation in theoretical work
that is needed for Ph.D research.
