Participants will include
all Graduate Student Teaching Assistants
in their first or second year of teaching in our department.
The seminar is led by

Robert Niemeyer, MCTP Postdoctoral Fellow

Martha Byrne, MCTP Graduate Student Fellow

Dusty Brooks, MCTP Graduate Student Fellow
Together, they will prepare any necessary material, as well as a
summary after each seminar, including suggestions for
improvement. The summaries will be posted on this website.
At the end of the 4 years of MCTP support we will have
well-developed seminar material that can easily be used
by us and others for future seminars of this sort.
Two more advanced graduate students

Taylor Dupuy, MCTP Summer Fellow

David Weirich, MCTP Summer Fellow
will also participate and support the seminar. Any other graduate
student interested in participating is very much welcome to do so.
It would be very useful to get the input from more experienced TAs.
We are excited to have such a great team leading this seminar
this semester! The seminar should be of much benefit to all involved,
including trainees, postdocs and mentors,
with much practical information for student participants.
This seminar builds upon a similar seminar held at our department
in the past (2005-2007?), led
by Adriana Aceves, Kristin Umland, Cristina Pereyra and Monika Nitsche.
