GRADUATE STUDENT TEACHER TRAINING SEMINAR (GSTTS) FALL 2014

Each Fall semester the Department of Mathematics and Statistics will run a Teacher Training Seminar in which the participants explore and critically discuss teaching practices such as policies, grading, teacher attitude, motivating students, and presentation skills. The seminar is based on the Graduate Student Teacher Training Coursepack prepared by Martha Byrne, Dusty Brooks, and Rob Niemeyer in 2012-2013, and the followup work by Elliot Smith, Tim Greenman, and Lane McConnell in Fall 2013. This semester it is organized by Karen Sorensen-Unruh, Malik Barrett, and Lane McConnell.

The seminar also provides a forum to bring up any issues relevant to life as a graduate student.
