This week we will focus on grading and writing an appropriate exam. We will start by comparing the methods students used to grade the assigned problems and discuss differences in scoring. We will discuss good grading practices, how to decide point distributions, how to grade consistently, and why different TAs grade the same work differently. Be sure to bring your graded problems and your key/rubric or be prepared to discuss your rationale and methods. We will conclude with guidelines for writing an appropriate exam. |
