MCTP REU Funding Undergraduate Research Projects: 2012-2016 The MCTP grant supports up to 5 undergraduates working on a research project with a faculty member of the department with an REU stipend. The stipend is for one academic year. To qualify for MCTP support,(1) the student's research proposal has to be submitted and accepted for the Honors Program, (2) the student needs to sign up for 2 semesters of Independent Study, Math 499, with his faculty mentor, during the period covered by the stipend (3) has to make satisfactory progress on the project throughout the year. (4) the students is expected to participate in the Outreach program, together with a partner for this program. For more information on this program, see (still under construction).
