Quiz Dates

Unless announced otherwise, there will be a 15' quiz every Wednesday, with the first graded quiz being on February 4, 1998.

Homework Problems

It should be noted that all of the projects will be stored as postscript files. When downloading the file, you should name it file.ps so that the printer will correctly print the file. All programs are stored as text files, so when downloading them you should save them with the appropriate extensions: file.f. file.c, file.h or file.m depending on your version.

Computing

The computing projects should be done using either Fortran (77or 90), C/C++, MATLAB, Maple V (Release 4), or Mathematica. However, I am familiar only with Fortran, Matlab and Maple V, and will be unable to offer any help if you decide to use another language.

If you're unfamiliar with UNIX, or feel that you don't know it as well as you should, check out the CS 190 homepage for some useful tidbits of information.
