Abstract
REDUCE, one of the oldest system in computer algebra initiated by Anthony C. Hearn in the 60ies, has become free software in 2009 and is hosted at sourceforge.net. Together with REDUCE the supporting LISP systems Cambridge Standard LISP (CSL) and Portable Standard LISP (PSL) are included in what sourceforge offers in the 'trunk' . Thanks to Athur Norman from Cambridge there is a relatively smooth transition for users of the commercial product.
Based on this new version the parallel efforts will continued since the usage is not restricted anymore.
