Feedback from Miranda
The senior class was really engaged and asked a lot of questions,
including many about what life at UNM is like.
In the junior class, one student really like the ping-pong-ball/hair-dryer
experiment!
Excerpts of Feedback from Mr See
Cullen and Miranda did an excellent job.
I do think it was beneficial to the students as they got to
see another application for Math.
Anytime they can see a more practical application, it is beneficial.
For my students I think the project was very appropriate.
If anything different in the presentation it might be a little more
instruction to the students before starting as to what and how they need to do on the
handout.
Some were filling it out as they went, others thought they needed to wait.
It might also get a little more engagement if they were told they would
be asked to come up and show an example of their work.
We didn't really spend anytime looking at what they put down on the handout.
Yes, I would recommend it to others. Some of our teachers keep a pretty tight
schedule
so as to have students ready for AP tests but if coordinated in advance I am sure it
is doable.
Thanks again, I look forward to doing this again.
Feedback from Monika
This is a fun but also challenging topic. If we work with this
again we have to make sure to finetune it.
