Title: Nonstable K-Theory for C*-Algebras.

Abstract: In this talk, we will discuss Nonstable K-Theory for C*-algebras, which is the study of the homotopy groups of the unitary group of a C*-algebra. Our primary focus will be on introducing this theory, particularly emphasizing a property that many interesting C*-algebras possess, a property known as K-stability.

During the talk, we will also explore how K-stability behaves with respect to continuous C(X)-algebras. Finally, we will conclude by applying the above result to certain crossed product C*-algebras.

This talk is based on joint work with Dr. Prahlad Vaidyanathan.
