Title: Asymptotic behavior of certain semigroups on Lp spaces.

Abstract: In this talk, I will briefly recall some basic facts about semigroups on a Banach space, and will explain the possible links between the growth rate of a semigroup and the behavior of the resolvent function of its infinitesimal generator. I will detail the reasons why the situation is particularly interesting for positive semigroups on Lp and will give the arguments in the proof of our main norm estimates. This is a joint work with Loris Arnold.

About the speaker: Clément Coine is an associate professor at the Université Caen Normandie. His research interests lie in functional analysis, for the most part in the tools that allow to study the differentiability of functions valued in noncommutative Lp-spaces, and more recently, in the dynamics of the so-called Lipschitz operators, or in the connections between the growth of an operator and the behavior of its resolvent function.
