Open Chalk Night
Event Description:
This is our first Open Chalk Night of the year! Open Chalk Nights serve as an informal forum where people can come together and share whatever mathematics they find interesting. It first started as the question, "What if we had open mic nights, but for math?" and it took off from there!
We've had everything from students in calculus classes presenting problems they found fascinating, to engineers presenting fun and interesting applications of mathematics, to graduate students presenting and commenting on theorems that they love. Everyone is welcome, and if you choose to come, hopefully you'll find something interesting!
We will be meeting in SMLC 356 from 5:00-7:00 PM on the first Friday of every month. We provide food and drinks, so if you're interested, we'd love to have you join us this Friday, October 2nd, for our first meeting of the year.
