Title: UNM to Sandia Laboratories: Finding Unique Opportunities to Fit Your Interests

Abstract: In this talk I will describe my path from UNM’s Math Department to a career at Sandia National Laboratories. I will highlight three projects from my technical career including work in renewable energy, support of the Mars 2020 ‘Perseverance’ Rover’s nuclear safety analysis, and my later work supporting credibility analyses for computational simulation of engineered systems. Finally, I will talk about my current role as the manager of the Statistical Sciences department and will describe opportunities for collaboration and for finding a career at Sandia.
