ASSURE Fellows past and future

The newly minted Fall 2023  ASSURE cohort includes

  • Aldo Morelli (Mathematics) whose mentor is Professor Maxim Zinchenko. His project is "Utilizing Analytic Function Theory to Analyze Operator Eigenvalues".
  • Murphy John (Applied Mathematics) whose mentor was  Associate Professor Yan Lin from the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies. Her project was "Integrating Big Data with Individual-Level Data to Improve Modeling and Prediction of Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever Dynamics in Native American Communities".

The 2022-23 cohort included  

  • Murphy John (Applied Mathematics) with same mentor and project as in Fall 2023.
  • Haris Tanver  (Biology) whose mentor was Professor Helen Wearing who holds a joint appointment in the Mathematics  and Statistics and Biology Departments. Hi project was "Assessing the impact of scaling up treatment and prevention of methamphetamine use on the hepatitis C epidemic".
