Serafina Lawles receives NSF Graduate Research Fellowship

Serafina Lawles has been selected to receive a 2020 National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship (GRF).  The title of her proposal to NSF was: Bounds on Loop Dominance Structural Analysis of Complex Stochastic Nonlinear Systems with an Application to Economics”. Her selection as an NSF Graduate Research Fellow is a highly significant national accomplishment, and places Serafina amongst an elite group of fellows who have gone on to distinguished careers in STEM or STEM education. 

Serafina is majoring in Applied Mathematics at UNM, she is graduating in May and has already been accepted to our PhD program in Applied Mathematics, she also has an internship in Sandia National Laboratories. This is a great accomplishment. Congratulations Serafina!!!!!!
